PVC Compound Type-A is a general-purpose thermoplastic insulation material used primarily in electrical wires and cables. It is engineered to deliver excellent flexibility, dielectric strength, and thermal resistance up to 70°C, making it ideal for low-voltage power and control cable applications. Conforming to IS 5831 standards, this compound ensures safe, durable, and cost-effective insulation for a wide range of indoor and outdoor electrical installations.

FEatures

1. Thermal Properties: Rated for continuous operation at 70 °C; withstands heat aging at 100 °C with minimal degradation .

2. Electrical Insulation: High volume resistivity (10¹⁰–10¹¹ Ω·cm) and strong dielectric strength enhances safety .

3. Flame Resistance: Commonly meets VW‑1 and FT‑2 flame tests; low smoke and HCl emission formulations available

4. Physical/Mechanical: Tensile strength ~20 MPa; elongation 300 %; resistant to abrasion, chemicals, UV, and low temperatures down to –40 °C
