PVC COMPOUND TYPE A SKINNING FR
about the product
PVC Compound Type‑A is a flame‑retardant, flexible PVC blend designed primarily for sheathing (“skinning”) and insulation of electrical/control cables. It combines PVC resin with additives—plasticizers, stabilizers (heat, UV), flame retardants, fillers, and lubricants—to deliver specific performance traits like flame resistance, mechanical durability, and ease of extrusion
1. Flame-retardant: Meets standards such as IEC 60332‑1‑2, UL VW‑1, CSA FT1/FT2
2. Mechanical strength: Tensile ≥ 12–15 MPa; elongation ≥ 125–150 %
3. Hardness: Shore A ~87–92
4. Thermal use range: Typically usable from ~–15 °C to +70 °C, with some grades rated up to +90 °C or +105 °C for short periods
5.Density: Around 1.35–1.55 g/cm³
6. Compliance: Can be RoHS, REACH, UL 94V‑0, free of heavy metals and lead
1. Wire & cable insulation and sheathing (including building wires, power cables, control cables, submersible cables, fire‑survival cables)
2. Suitable for specialized cables in automotive, industrial, instrumentation, telecom fields
1. Typically supplied as granules or powder suitable for extrusion.
2. Packaging:
I. Standard 25 kg bags
II. Also available in jumbo or customer‑specified bags (e.g., up to 1,000 kg)
1. TI1/arge. TM1: 70 °C general-purpose insulation/sheathing.
2. TI3/TM3: 90 °C heat‑resistant grades.
3. FR/FRLS: Flame‑retardant, optionally low‑smoke.
4.Skinning-specific: E.g., "Type A Skin" with specific formulations, e.g., YP‑322 at density ≈ 1.32 g/cm³, hardness ~90A
1. Type A FR: Standard flame‑retardant sheathing with Shore A ~89, density ~1.39 g/cm³
2.Skinning-specific: YP‑322 “Type A Skin”, density ~1.32 g/cm³, hardness 90A
3. High‑temp FR: Shore A ~92, density ~1.44 g/cm³, operational up to +85 °C or +90 °C .
4.FRLS / Low‑Smoke: Special formulations minimizing smoke output, meeting LSOH requirements
