ST‑2 FRLS is a specially formulated flame-retardant, low-smoke polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound (sheathing grade) designed for power and control cables. It conforms to IS 5831‑1984 Type ST‑2 and various global standards such as BS 7655, IEC 60502‑1 TM‑1 . It provides fire safety in enclosed or high-risk environments by mitigating smoke and acid gas generation in case of fire.
1.Flame retardant & low smoke: LOI (Limiting Oxygen Index) ≥ 30%, smoke density ≤ 60%
2. HCl emission: ≤ 20% under standard test
3. Mechanical properties:
I. Tensile ~12.5–16 MPa; elongation ≥ 150–250%
4. Thermal stability: ≥ 80–100 minutes at 200 °C; mass loss ≤ 2 mg/cm² after 7 days at 80 °C
5.Density: ~1.50–1.60 g/cm³
6. Easy processing: smooth extrusion, broad temperature window (150–180 °C)

1. Form: uniform granules or pellets, moisture-free
