ST‑1 is a PVC-based sheathing compound compliant with global cable standards (such as IEC 60502, BS 6746 TI1, IS 5831 Type ST1), designed specifically for fixed-installation low-voltage cable jackets. It operates up to ~70 °C and provides excellent waterproofing, mechanical strength, chemical resistance, and electrical insulation
1. Density: Typically 1.43–1.48 g/cm³
2. Tensile Strength: 16–20 MPa, with >12 MPa minimum after ageing
3. Elongation at Break: ≥150 %, typically ~250–320 %
4. Hardness: Shore A ~70–90 (commonly ~82)
5. Temperature Resistance: Rated up to 70–80 °C, with tested stability to 100 °C
6. Additives: Plasticizers, stabilizers, calcium carbonate filler—often lead-free and RoHS/REACH-compliant
